thedetroiter.com
thedetroiter.com was launched in 2002 by brothers John and Nick Sousanis. John Sousanis, who was a theatre critic for the Oakland Press at the time, focused on coverage of the performing arts, while Nick concentrated on the fine arts. The site quickly grew from coverage of performing and fine arts to restaurant reviews, editorials, and Detroit lifestyles coverage. It has covered thousands of happenings and artists, and continues to be one of Detroit’s favorite sources for art and culture.
In 2008, the Sousanis brothers passed the reins of the site over to YArts, the Arts and Humanities branch of the YMCA of Metropolitan Detroit. thedetroiter.com continues to grow and evolve, working hard to fulfill its mission as a service to this creative community.
We welcome the opportunity to hear how we can better serve you. Please get in touch!
