Y Media Works Students in Action

Y Media Works is our digital media initiative that connects local youths (and adults!) to the processes of media development.  Students engage in the creation of video, Web, and interactive media in a project-based curriculum that provides real product to real community clients and partners.

Emphasizing the importance of collaboration and solving problems together in a “Yes, and…” style, our approach helps students form lasting interpersonal relationships while learning about an increasingly important industry to Michigan’s local economy.  In other words, we make great friends, great movies and other media, and are doing all we can to help our great community move forward!

The Y Media Works approach is currently found in our in- and after school programs and our summer camps.
